It is a durable knife handle material made from layers of various materials like paper, canvas or linen and held together by a epoxy resin at very high pressures and high temperatures creating a material highly resistant to shocks and corrosion. Another characteristic is its lightness and ability to withstand corrosion, humidity and extreme temperatures.
